JSin sexes it up with CD

JSin Roussety with the new CD he recorded JSin Roussety with the new CD he recorded

JSIN Roussety plans to use the theory that sex sells to promote his first album, Playing With Myself.
The 24yearold from Narre Warren won his section of the Urban Quest Dandenong talent competition for the second time earlier this year.
Part of his prize was some time at a recording studio in Keysborough, where he put the album together.
The album was released four months ago, and is available at Leading Edge at Fountain Gate where 60 copies have sold.
While the figures might sound modest, JSin said the response had been better than expected given the album had not been advertised.
“I didn’t expect other people would be listening to the music because I did it for myself,” he said.
“But when you hear someone playing it in their car stereo as they drive past, it’s mindblowing.”
JSin said he had been into hip hop and rap since his high school days, and now did it in his spare time after work and on weekends.
He won the Urban Quest competition in 2002, has worked with a band and also performed as a duo with his sister.
JSin said the lyrics on his album had a common theme.
“It’s mostly about sex,” he said.
“Some people say the subject is taboo, but it shouldn’t be. It’s something that everyone likes.”
His next project is to organise an album featuring the work of hip hop artists throughout the south eastern suburbs. To get involved, phone JSin on 0430 008 814.
