Justin Le received the state’s highest mark for year seven students at the 2005 Australasian Schools Mathematics Assessment Competition.
He was awarded a medal for his efforts, while he and his classmates also received distinction certificates after recording outstanding scores. The students have now qualified for Springvale Secondary College’s special year eight mathematics acceleration program for academically successful students.
Springvale Secondary College also offers the University of Melbourne maths extension program to year 12 students gifted or talented in mathematics.
