A KITCHEN fire turned into utter decimation for a Noble Park flat last Sunday.
Firefighters from Noble Park, Dandenong and Springvale managed to contain the fire to just one flat at 61 Kelvinside Road, Noble Park, on Sunday afternoon.
But the one flat in which the fire erupted was severely damaged, according to officers who attended.
Firefighters believe the blaze started in the flat’s kitchen.
They said the tin roof helped spread the fire to other rooms. The fire spread into the roof cavity and vented out of the kitchen window.
Fire investigation officers are still determining the cause of the blaze.
