A FLU vaccination initiative will allow businesses across Greater Dandenong to immunise their employees against the crippling virus without anyone leaving the building.
Greater Dandenong council is urging businesses to take advantage of its flu vaccination program.
Now in its 12th year, the service is offered by the council’s environmental health unit.
Greater Dandenong development services director Mal Baker said the service was popular among local businesses because on-site immunisation was convenient.
“The service allows a large number of employees to be vaccinated at the same time,” he said.
“Up to three nurses can attend businesses with more than 15 employees.
“The vaccination is $15 per dose and businesses are charged an additional $52 per hour to attend a factory, where nurses can generally immunise between 40-50 employees per hour,” he said.
The city’s mayor Peter Brown also threw his endorsement behind the flu vaccine initiative, agreeing it was convenient for local businesses. Bookings are essential.
