TEACHERS and manufacturers will be under the same roof when Generation Y guru Peter Sheahan speaks at a forthcoming business breakfast at Sandown.
Mr Sheahan will offer advice on the transition of young people from school into the workforce.
The breakfast will be on Tuesday, 25 July at 7am at Sandown Racecourse and will be organised by South East Networks in conjunction with the South East Melbourne Manufacturers’ Alliance and several partners.
Mr Sheahan was the general manager of a Sydney hotel with over 30 staff when he recognised a problem common among young people.
A confessed Generation Y member, Mr Sheahan started his own business and now consults with companies and educational institutes on working with young people to fill the labour market skills gap.
Mr Sheahan’s clients include Woolworths and the Commonwealth Bank and he has written four books on the subject of school to work.
