Waterlions lay down rule of roar

The Haileybury Waterlions swept all before them at the Geelong City Aquatic Short Course Meet at Norlane Swimming Club this month. The Waterlions accumulated 48 medals at the event – 21 gold, 12 silver and 15 bronze – and a bevy of personal bests as they tuned up for the big competitions on their calendar over the next few months. Among the stars were, back from left, Kody Davidson, Sean Chaplin, Cameron DeKok and Tyson Lawes, and front, Briony Johnson and Kelly Stubbins. Commonwealth Games gold medallist Stubbins racked up two pool records and fellow veteran Ken Welsh claimed four of his own as Haileybury left its mark on the Geelong meet. The Haileybury Waterlions swept all before them at the Geelong City Aquatic Short Course Meet at Norlane Swimming Club this month.
