BRENT Williams slotted 11 goals and Noble Park charged to an 87-point win against Mitcham in their First Division Eastern Football League (EFL) match at Pat Wright Oval on Saturday.
The undefeated Bulls could have been excused for cruising against the winless Tigers, but if anything the Bulls went harder.
After bowing out of last year’s finals in disappointing fashion, it seems as though the Bulls are breathing success in 2006.
After four straight wins, that success is becoming contagious, revealed by the even contribution from every Bull player that graced the field on Saturday.
A knee injury to classy midfielder Benn Logan was the only dampener on what was otherwise a morale-boosting day for the Bulls.
Coach Shane Burgmann, who was back to his best against Mitcham, said scans would reveal the extent of Logan’s injury.
“We’ve got our fingers crossed that it’s not too serious, but Benn pulled up sore,” he said.
At best, Logan is expected to miss at least the next three or four weeks.
The match against Mitcham was the first of three games the Bulls should win convincingly.
In the next fortnight the Bulls play teams ranked eighth and ninth on the ladder – a dream run that will be broken when Noble Park clashes with fellow undefeated side Vermont in round seven.
This Saturday the Bulls travel to Jubilee Park to take on Ringwood.
