Detective Senior Constable Russell Church said at 4pm on Saturday 31 January an unknown male jumped the counter and stole a tray of necklaces.
“The offender had then left the store with the necklaces and decamped on foot,” he said.
“The value of the jewellery that was stolen was approximately $5000.”
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the man, who was wearing a white coloured t-shirt with a red Nike written on it, at the time of the incident. Police believe that the male depicted in the photograph may be able to assist police with their inquiries. All information should be reported to Crime Stoppers or Detective Senior Constable Church at the Greater Dandenong CIU on 9767 7596.
