THE owner of local shopping centres Dandenong Plaza and Parkmore Shopping Centre has been recognised in Victorian Premier’s Sustainability Awards.
The GPT Group was announced as a finalist in the Victorian Premier’s Sustainability Awards to be held in Melbourne on 16 April.
The GPT Group is one of three finalists in the Large Business category.
GPT’s head of corporate responsibility Dr Caroline Noller said GPT was proud to be heralded as one of the most sustainable large organisations operating in Victoria.
She said as one of Australia’s largest diversified listed property groups, GPT aspired to leadership in the property sector through the quality of its assets and its approach to corporate responsibility.
“Our corporate responsibility philosophy is to operate at the leading edge. GPT’s efforts to set and deliver leading eco-efficiency performance measures for all of our assets means we are able to meet the increasing ‘green’ expectations of our stakeholders,” she said.
“By setting tough targets for the operation and development of our assets, over the last two years we have substantially improved our eco-efficiencies performance.”
