Business group offers support

DANDENONG’S small and independent retail businesses are being given the chance to form strong support networks to help weather the current economic climate.
In conjunction with the Dandenong Retail Traders’ Association (DRTA), the Australian Retailers Association (ARA) has launched Priority Retail.
Priority Retail will offer retail businesses access to a number of ARA services through the DRTA for less than $2 a week.
The services will include a 24/7 hotline, a bi-monthly national publication, $50 training voucher for the ARA Retail Institute and more.
A Priority Retail subscription will cost $93.50 for a membership covering the financial year, in addition to the annual DRTA membership of $85.
Chairperson for the DRTA, Roy Aspinall said that this was yet another advantage of being a member of the DRTA.
“It provides those who wish to join the ARA the opportunity to become a member of the national body at a greatly discounted fee compared to those who are not also DRTA members,” he said.
