Wail of a time

EXPECT powerful sounds, heavy drums, screaming vocals and wailing guitars with Metal Heaven night at the Hallam Hotel.
High Energy Events and Entertainment is bringing together local, unsigned bands for their Live and Local events, kicking off with Metal Heaven on Thursday 21 May.
The night will include three metal bands, as well as a professional MC and DJ and door prizes and give-aways.
Event organiser, Sean Powell, said he arranged the events to give unsigned bands an opportunity to perform in an arena not usually available to them.
“It gives the bands the opportunity to headline such venues and to be a part of an event that promotes ownership, pride and respect in their genre of music,” Mr Powell said.
Bands The Symbiosist, Insidious and Hatchet Dawn will headline the night.
Singer for Insidious, Melanie Kuhn, said this event would be the biggest performance of their career. “It’s a great opportunity to play with some great bands for a new and broader audience,” she said.
Metal Heaven is the first Live and Local event, with Punk Off and Get Rocked to come to the Hallam Hotel over the next few months.
“We are putting the same types of bands together to allow artists and fans to support the concept and meet and mingle with like-minded people,” Mr Powell said.
Doors will open at 8pm, for a 9pm start.
Pre-sale tickets cost $8 from Hallam Hotel or the Music Shop Pakenham, door sales are $10.
