Chamber selects its top three

GREATER Dandenong’s chamber of commerce celebrated its first business breakfast for the year on Wednesday.
Three businesses were nominated for the 2009 Premier Regional Business Awards that will be decided early next year.
Arco Cafe Bar and Restaurant, Thermofilm Australia Pty Ltd and Hunter Industrials were nominated at the breakfast that was attended by about 100 people.
Damien Peiris was introduced as a Youth Enterprise nominee and guests were treated to football tales from former St Kilda great Kevin “Cowboy” Neale.
Hunter Industrials is a family-owned business specialising in the distribution of cleaning chemicals and associated products.
The business has seen four generations of family members involved in the business and industry.
The business has been grown from 15 employees in 2004 to 30 in 2009 and expects 10 per cent growth this year alone.
Hunter Industrials now operates in three states and provides a 24-hour delivery service.
The company is a nominee in the areas of Innovation, Service Excellence, Corporate and Social Responsibility and Small Business and a Premier Regional Business Award.
