SOME of the South-East’s best Sri Lankan dancers will take to the stage for their annual concert next month.
Members of the Sri Lanka Vishver Rangayathanaya dance school will portray the story of how Vijaya who arrived from India and married Kuweni an original inhabitant of the island. Students come from Dandenong, Cranbourne, Berwick, Hallam and Glen Waverley and range in age from four to 25 years old.
The Vishver Narthana Rekha concert will be held on Sunday 4 September at the Besen Centre, 87-89 Station Street, Burwood. Tickets cost $20. For more information or to book tickets, contact Mrs Rashika Kulasinghe on 042 358 4440.
