Guns and drugs raid

FOUR guns, drugs and $30,000 in stolen property were seized when police arrested seven men in raids on Tuesday.
Police said the raids follow previous searches last month in which eight properties were targetted and seven people arrested.
“Between the two jobs, we’ve located well over $150,000 of stolen property,” said Detective Senior Constable Tony Meyers.
The most recent raids targetted eight properties in Berwick, Endeavour Hills, Keysborough, Lyndhurst and Dandenong.
Det Sen Const Meyers from Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit said the raids were part of a long-term operation.
Police said property seized on Tuesday included tools, computers and electrical equipment valued at $30,000, four firearms, prohibited weapons and large quantities of cannabis and methamphetamine.
The operation involved 35 members from the Dandenong CIU, tasking units and the canine unit.
The men arrested and charged included two men from Berwick, aged 24 and 38, a 29-year-old Endeavour Hills man, a 22-year-old Keysborough man, a 26-year-old Lyndhurst man and two men from Dandenong, aged 30 and 27.
The men were charged with a range of offences including handling stolen goods, theft, burglary, drug trafficking, cultivation and weapons charges.
