SHOW goers can admire the cars of yesteryear at the new Show & Shine exhibit at the Dandenong Show.
Classic and Rod Club of Victoria vice president, Sam Tabone, said the club would be celebrating 140 years of the Dandenong Show by reminding people of the classic cars that once ruled the roads.
“There will be 100 assorted cars from the ’30s, ’40s, and ’50s,,” Mr Tabone said.
“People will be able to wander about them, and it will provide a bit of nostalgia for the older people as well.” Mr Tabone owns three classic cars including a 1958 Cadillac, 1964 Cheviot Impala and a 1959 two-door sports coupe, but he hasn’t yet decided which one he will display at the Show.
“They’re all well kept cars, I wish I could bring them all, but I can only drive one unfortunately.”
The Classic and Rod Club has been running in the Cranbourne area for five-and-a-half years.
It is a family orientated car club that holds regular events and enjoys sharing their cars with people all over Victoria.
“We’re a family-based club; we share our cars with everyone,” he said.
The Show & Shine exhibit will run all day on Sunday 13 November at the Dandenong Show.
