TWO Haileybury Keysborough students have received perfect ATAR scores.
Bridget Jones and Gordon Chen achieved an ATAR of 99.9, placing them in the top .01 per cent in Australia.
Haileybury students achieved 18 perfect study stores in the 2012 VCE Results, released on 17 December.
Twelve per cent of students received ATAR scores of 98 or above, 35 per cent were 90 or above, and 62 per cent were over 80.
Haileybury principal Derek Scott said the results were outstanding and a reflection of the school’s unique three-year VCE program.
“This result demonstrates strong value-added performance as well as a remarkable list of very high achievers,” he said.
“We believe they are ready for life after school.”
Minaret College’s dux was school captain Mariam Hassan with a 99.8 ATAR score.
Yomna Elsamman followed Mariam on 99.55, and Emina Omerovic scored 95.90.
The college was pleased with the results its 60 VCE students received and looks forward to them receiving placement in the tertiary courses of their choice.
