POLICE abandoned a pursuit on the Monash Freeway in Dandenong after the motorcycle they were trailing exceeded 160 kilometres an hour.
The black bike had no number plate and its rider sped up when police tried to intercept it on 7 April.
When officers terminated the pursuit the bike’s passenger turned around and made an obscene gesture.
Police are searching for the rider.
