The thief jumped the counter, removed a large amount of cash from the register and was last seen fleeing north along Jones Road on foot.
Numerous police units attended, but were unable to locate the offender. Detectives are reviewing CCTV footage and appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The thief is described as a Caucasian man in his 30s, 180 centimetres tall with a large build, unshaven and wearing a grey hoodie with “London” on the hood and front, black sunglasses, blue jeans, black shoes and a grey backpack.
