FOOTPATHS in Greater Dandenong are being used to spread healthy eating messages.
The Brighten Up campaign encourages residents to think about adding extra vegetables to their meal.
Decals are on pavements in key locations around Dandenong to attract people’s attention as they walk to work, school or the shops.
Dandenong mother-of-two Ioanna Sina Faalili said families sometimes needed a gentle nudge in the right direction.
“My children have always enjoyed helping me cook,” she said.
“It is a great way to introduce them to different vegetables and show them how they can be used to make delicious meals.”
Brighten Up is part of Healthy Together Greater Dandenong – a broader social marketing campaign focused on changing young families’ food purchasing habits.
