CENTRAL Dandenong retailers can find strength in numbers during the area’s revitalisation.
Dandenong Retail Traders’ Association (DRTA) chairwoman Glenys Cooper is encouraging businesses to join with their peers and be part of a collective voice.
“We are known as the voice of retail traders within central Dandenong with local council and other government bodies,” she said.
“The executive is working very hard to help you in making central Dandenong a better place in which to operate and to promote the advantages of shopping here.
“This area has so much potential and now, with most of the initial construction nearing completion and with such easy access via EastLink, the benefits of operating a retail business within Dandenong will only increase.”
The group offers information on what’s happening around Dandenong, organises promotions, networking and training, and liaises with police and all levels of government.
Annual membership is $90 and includes a ticket to the awards night dinner in December.
Call vice chairman Peter Hofmann at Manely Hair on 9791 5566 for more information.
