Pies vie for top title

DANDENONG Market has chosen a typically Aussie way to mark 26 January.
In the lead up to Australia Day, the market’s bakery traders will pit their pies against each other, vying for the Best Meat Pie title.
Customers will be able to sample the pies and vote for their favourite.
The voting will commence alongside the tasting, between 11am and noon, and the winner will be announced after 1pm.
The market will also host Australia Day Barbecue demonstrations on 21, 24 and 26 January, with quick, easy and healthy meal ideas.
The free cooking demonstrations will run from noon to 1pm at The Kitchen.
