ARSON chemists have deemed the Potter Street fire that killed a Dandenong toddler on 7 February non-suspicious.
The three-year-old boy’s mother told police she’d locked him inside the home to attend to duties outside, and spotted the fire about 10 minutes later.
Smoke and heat kept her from returning inside to rescue him.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman could not confirm the fire’s cause, and said police were preparing a report for the Coroner.
