WOULD-BE thieves triggered Dandenong Stadium security alarms and fled empty-handed – and without the ladder they brought along.
They used it to climb onto the roof of the Stud Road sports hub, where they cut a hole to access the office area sometime between 10.30pm on Sunday 6 April and 5am the following day.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw a trade vehicle in the area during this time to come forward.
