Crutch raid

Briefly

A ROBBER used a crutch to threaten a man and a woman in a house on Heatherton Road, Noble Park.
Detective Constable Sally Spalding of Greater Dandenong CIU said the robber knocked on the door and had been led into the house where he demanded money from his 20-year-old victims at 7.35pm on 8 June.
A man in his 20s is assisting police with their inquiries.

Motorbike seized
A MAN had his allegedly unregistered motorbike impounded for 30 days after being caught riding at more than 70 kilometres per hour over the speed limit in Clarke Road, Springvale.
The rider, 38, was detected by police travelling about 123km/h in a 50km/h zone about 12.30pm.
He is expected to be charged with speeding, riding an unregistered bike and disqualified riding.
The man faces a $733 bill to free his Honda CVR 900 from impoundment next month.

Bin burn-up
A WHEELIE bin was set alight at Australia Post’s Dandenong headquarters on 5 June.
About 10pm, the bin’s contents were lit by unidentified offenders.
Detective Constable Sally Spalding of Greater Dandenong CIU said the bin was “completely damaged”.
