Gunman unzipped

A MAN with a home-made firearm down the front of his pants was arrested at Springvale Railway Station on Monday night.
Three protective services officers arrested the man about 7.20pm after his photo ID failed to match the name he gave them.
While searching the man, police found the weapon and a bag of “unidentified white powder”.
A man in his twenties was taken into custody at Dandenong Police Station and is expected to be charged with firearms offences.

Gang attack
Five burglars forced entry into a home and assaulted three victims, aged 15 to 30, in Hillcrest Grove, Springvale.
The burglars knocked on the door then forced their way into the house and demanded cash from the two female and one male occupant at 9.15pm on 7 June.
Detective Constable Sally Spalding of Greater Dandenong CIU said some of the intruders were described as of Caucasian background, some as Indian.
