ARMED robbers have hit Greater Dandenong McDonald’s restaurants four times in one month.
The latest thefts occurred in the early hours of Monday 27 October.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Kim Alp said a man holding a large sword entered the McDonald’s at Elonera Road and Princes Highway, Noble Park North, about 2.30am.
He walked behind the counter, demanded money from the till, fled towards Camellia Avenue with cash and was seen getting into a small black car.
He spoke with a New Zealand accent and was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie, gloves, and a white bandana concealing his face.
A man matching the same description and conduct entered the McDonald’s on Cheltenham Road, Keysborough, about 4.30am and was last seen running across Perry Road into a reserve.
A thief armed with a knife terrified diners at the same restaurant on 4 October, his face covered with a T-shirt.
And two men armed with tomahawks and wearing stockings on their faces raided the Springvale McDonald’s on 10 October.
