POLICE will target drink-driving and speeding this long weekend.
Operation ARID will run from midnight tomorrow (Friday) until midnight on Monday and is aimed at reducing the incidence and severity of road trauma.
Greater Dandenong Highway Patrol Senior Sergeant Scott Roberts said his officers would target people driving through the area on Friday evening and returning home on Monday afternoon.
“We’ll be putting our resources out at times of heightened risk,” he said.
