Shape up to bullying

By CASEY NEILL

NOBLE Park students took a stand against bullying and violence last week in the shape of Australia.
They stood side by side on Friday 20 March to form the country’s outline and spelled out the slogan We Are One inside.
“We are so very proud of our work today, and the school community support of the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence,” Noble Park Secondary College teacher Jennelle Little said.
“This slogan is significant to the college and is used at the annual celebration of our diversity at our multicultural celebrations held in May.”
Ms Little said the school had focused on anti-bullying in the lead-up to the event.
All year seven, eight and nine students attended a Brainstorm Productions play and followed up with weekly lessons.
“All year levels also have participated in a session on bullying and cyber safety with our police youth liaison officers,” Ms Little said.
