Gang ambush

A GANG has robbed a driver at knifepoint after luring him to stop his car in Noble Park.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Tony Lavars said the 40-year-old Dandenong North man was driving in Wimpole Street about 11.15pm on Friday 21 August.
He saw a man lying in the road and stopped his car.
Det Sen Const Lavars said 10 men then approached the vehicle, opened the driver’s door, grabbed him by the hair and held a knife to his throat.
They demanded he get out of the car and stole his wallet when he complied. They then fled on foot.
The victim said one thief appeared to be Caucasian and the other nine were African in appearance.
