Punched after disturbing thief

A NOBLE Park man received a punch to the face after disturbing a thief in his home.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Tony Lavars said three men entered the Rich Street house through a sliding window just after 3am on Tuesday 18 August.
A 54-year-old man inside the house woke up and confronted and wrestled with one of the thieves, who punched him in the face, causing minor injuries.
The trio fled the house empty-handed and were seen in a white four-wheel drive.
Det Sen Const Lavars said someone smashed the victim’s front window a short while later.
The victim described one intruder as African in appearance and two as Caucasian.
