COLOURFUL creations from special students are being sold to support their school.
Springvale Park Special Developmental School (SDS) students explore their senses through different mediums and produce art to different themes, from summer to impressionism, art in Asia and Christmas.
“It is wonderful to see the students engaged in their work and creating colourful art works,” teacher Katina Vryonis said.
Works will be for sale at a school market on Sunday 15 November, as well as calendars and cards featuring the art.
The event will also feature plants, bric-a-brac, face painting, a sausage sizzle, toys, art and craft, a jumping castle and giant slide.
Proceeds will go towards a liberty swing, which are specialised designed for children in wheelchairs.
The school caters for children with disabilities and has six students in wheelchairs.
The market will take place from 8am to noon at the school, 13-15 Sandown Road, Springvale.
