A SPRINGVALE South man was menaced with his own knife during a robbery in Springvale.
The 23-year-old victim was walking along Springvale Road about 10.30pm on Sunday 29 November when police allege a man approached him and asked for cigarettes and money.
He refused and the man allegedly punched him to the side of the head, searched his pockets and found a pocket knife.
The victim fled and called triple-zero.
Police attended and arrested a 19-year-old Mulgrave man nearby.
He was charged with robbery and bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
