Thieves brought their own trailer

THIEVES have gone to great lengths to steal three cars from a Dandenong automotive recycler.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Sergeant Luke Kirton said they forced entry to Metro Auto Recyclers in Podmore Street between 5pm on Friday 27 November and 7am on Saturday 28 November.
“Once inside they accessed an office and stole electronic equipment,” he said.
Det Sgt Kirton said the thieves then took a Ford sedan, Mitsubishi Lancer and Holden Astra from the yard.
“The Ford sedan and Mitsubishi Lancer were both partially dismantled and were unable to be driven,” he said.
“Both of these vehicles would need to have been towed away using a car trailer.”
