Age of awareness

GREATER Dandenong residents can help to shape the future of aged care in their own back yard and beyond.
Uniting AgeWell, which has a site in Noble Park, is establishing the AgeWell Community Advisory Committee (ACAC) with community members from Victoria and Tasmania.
Uniting AgeWell board chairman The Reverend Allan Thompson said it would be one of the first in the aged care sector.
“We want to hear first-hand the concerns, aspirations and ideas of the community,” he said.
“It’s through these insights we will ensure our services continue to support people to age well and have confidence in the quality of care and services they receive.”
The volunteer committee will meet quarterly from July, receive training and be reimbursed for transport expenses to attend meetings.
Call Nickie Arthur on 0437 248 672 or visit unitingagewell.org for more information.
Expressions of interest close on 29 February.
