Chisholm Institute and La Trobe University are bringing degrees to Dandenong.
From next year students will be able to study bachelor degrees in accounting, information technology, healthcare, early learning, and community services at Chisholm’s Dandenong, Berwick and Frankston campuses.
Chisholm CEO Maria Peters said the partnership would provide access and opportunity for Chisholm students who wanted a pathway into bachelor degrees without having to travel long distances.
“As a TAFE and higher education provider, we are committed to delivering leading education and training outcomes across the broader south-east community,” she said.
Sport, engineering and advanced manufacturing, education, business and cyber security courses are under development.
La Trobe vice-chancellor Professor John Dewar said the partnership would “have tremendous economic, social and job-creation benefits for the local economy”.
