Olympic hopefuls were among the competitors in a Noble Park Skate Park contest.
The Kings of Concrete Skateboarding event descended on Ross Reserve on Saturday 20 January.
Skateboarders vying for to represent Australia at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Poppy Olsen and Keegan Palmer, got plenty of air during the day.
The event was the third time the Kings of Concrete had graced Noble Park’s deep bowl.
It included open, open Ladies, 16-and-under and 12-and-under categories.
The $1-million-plus cutting edge skate park opened in August 2015.
It boasts a vertical bowl, snake run and street-skating plaza.
Late last year, Greater Dandenong Councillor Roz Blades told a council meeting she thought the park could be in prime position to produce podium stars.
Greater Dandenong community services director Martin Fidler told the Monday 13 November meeting he was keen to explore some opportunities to host trials and training.
