A masked male in an orange Toyota Aurion has attempted to rob a driver in Noble Park, police say.
The 30-year-old victim’s car was cut off by the Aurion at the corner of Heatherton and Fintonia roads about 6am on 11 July.
He had just driven from Noble Park railway station.
The masked male has approached the victim’s car, demanded money and tried to punch the victim through the open window.
The attacker stopped the assault when he noticed a nearby police patrol car.
He fled with up to three other occupants in the Aurion.
