A manhunt is underway for the driver of a Mini Cooper that allegedly ploughed into two parked cars in Dandenong North on Saturday 17 November.
Investigators have been told the driver was travelling north on Simpson Drive about 1.30am when they collided with a 1994 Subaru Liberty and a 2001 Toyota Camry which received moderate to significant damage.
Police are making enquiries about the registered owner of the Mini Cooper, which was also left with significant damage.
Witnesses told police they saw four people – three women and one man – fleeing the scene at the time of the collision.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Creina O’Grady said it was believed a man was sleeping in the parked Subaru.
Ambulance Victoria confirmed paramedics assessed the Noble Park man aged in his fifties, but he was not transported to hospital.
Police could not confirm if the Mini Cooper was stolen at this stage.
Dandenong police are investigating.
