Dandenong-based state MPs have been the winners in a State Cabinet reshuffle three days after an emphatic election victory.
In a stellar rise, Dandenong MP Gabrielle Williams will join the Cabinet after just one term in Parliament.
And in a shock return, Upper House MP Adem Somyurek returns to the front bench after being stood down over allegations of bullying a staffer.
Ms Williams had earned one of the largest swings to the ALP in the 24 November election, entrenching her seat with a near 25 per cent margin.
In her first four years, she served as Parliamentary Secretary for Carers and Volunteers, as well as for Industry and Employment, and for Health.
Mr Somyurek served as Small Business, Innovation and Trade Minister until he was stood down in 2015.
His replacement Phillip Dalidakis is one of three Ministers to have made way for the changes. The other delistings were John Eren and Natalie Hutchins.
The South-East will be also represented by Luke Donnellan, Gavin Jennings, Martin Pakula and Premier Daniel Andrews.
The new gender-equal Cabinet has 11 men and 11 women. Their portfolios are yet to be announced.
