Woman attacked in violent bag robbery

A 19-year-old woman has been attacked and robbed while walking in Dandenong North early on 19 February.

She was tripped from behind by a man and held down on the ground with his forearm across her mouth about 4.45am on Latham Crescent.

The robber pulled the victim’s handbag from her grasp and fled in a small white Toyota vehicle without registration plates.

The woman suffered small lacerations to her head and a cut to her bottom lip during the attack.

The robber was described as Caucasian, about 193 centimetres with short hair, a black singlet and black shorts. He spoke with an Australian accent.
