Man charged with ATM armed robbery

A man has been charged with armed robbery and assault over an alleged hold-up at an ATM in Dandenong.

Greater Dandenong CIU detectives arrested the Pakenham man in Dandenong on Wednesday 2 October.

Police later raided a property in Coleman Court, Dandenong North.

The man is accused of threatening a 19-year-old male and attempting to force him to withdraw money from an ATM on Stud Road in September.

He then allegedly assaulted the victim and stole a phone and other personal items.

The victim was hospitalised with minor injuries.

The charged man is expected to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 3 October.
