Mystery of Springvale's Tyrannosaurus wrecked

It’s a real whodunit: who rendered Melbourne’s Tyrannosaurus Rex extinct? The 600 kilogram, 6.5 metre-long fibreglass replica is no more. The famed
installation from Springvale’s Gardenworld shopping complex was smashed at the
weekend when burglars unsuccessfully tried to take it.

T-Rex was part of a large installation that belongs to the Collector’s Corner
store. Staff member Marco Pereira said its destruction had saddened many of the
visitors to the store.
