THE LADIES Auxiliary of the Dandenong Hospital, in conjunction with a Dandenong Plaza clothing store, is gearing up for a fashion parade on Tuesday, 14 March to raise money for new hospital equipment.
Ladies Auxiliary member Lorraine Laughton said the oddly named but attention-grabbing Mannequin Parade will not feature plastic life-sized dolls but rather a cast of volunteers donning clothing courtesy of Millers Fashion in Dandenong Plaza.
“They will clothe the models who will parade at Dandenong RSL on Tuesday, 14 March, and any funds raised will go to the Dandenong Hospital,” she said.
“There is a five dollar entrance fee that will entitle everyone to a lovely morning tea, handmade and provided by the Ladies Auxiliary, and we will be having numerous door prizes, and are going to run a small raffle to boost the funds.”
Advance table bookings and tickets are available at Dandenong RSL reception, or by phoning the RSL on 9792 1535, or Lorraine Laughton on 9704 7799.
Tickets will be available at the door. The event begins at 9.45am.
