NOBLE Park and Dandenong North kindergartens will share a slice of $5.9 million of State Government children’s services grants to improve Victorian kindergartens.
Mulgrave MP Daniel Andrews announced the funding this week as part of the State Government’s children’s services capital grants program.
Two kindergartens in Dandenong North and Noble Park will share a total of $8900 in grants.
Heritage Preschool in Dandenong North has received $3900 for an upgrade to their shade sail, blinds and awnings, while Harrisfield Kindergarten in Noble Park will receive $5000 for a swing frame and play area.
“We are investing heavily in children’s services across the state and helping working parents balance the competing demands of work and families by better integrating early childhood services,” Mr Andrews said.
“The minor capital grant program will keep Victorian children’s services accessible and appealing.”
Mr Andrews said the community-based kindergartens would use the grants to create safer and more appealing environments for young children in Noble Park and Dandenong North to learn and grow.
