THE BEST young sporting shooters flocked to Springvale last weekend for the Interstate Junior Challenge.
Run by the Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia (SSAA) Victorian branch, the event ran across Saturday and Sunday and included rifle and pistol events.
Participants were divided into two age groups: 11 to under-15 years, and 15 to under-18 years.
A short practice session preceded each day’s main competition, which was run according to the SSAA’s rule book.
Competition included rapid-fire, off-hand and resting prone positions.
