HAS the work or dedication of a Greater Dandenong resident captured your attention?
If so, the City of Greater Dandenong council is calling for nominations for the 2007 Australia Day awards.
Categories include Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year and Volunteer of the Year, all of which aim to recognise outstanding community contributors.
Nomination forms are available from the council by calling 9239 5141 and must be completed and returned by no later than 5pm on Monday, 27 November.
A community panel will select the winners, and presentations will be made at Greater Dandenong Australia Day celebrations on 26 January 2007 at the Drum Theatre and Town Hall.
Celebrations on the day will include a Citizenship Ceremony and a free concert and sausage sizzle at Dandenong Park from noon to 2pm.
