HEADS or tails?
Just ask Warren Ayres.
The Dandenong Panthers Premier Cricket legend won his sixth coin toss for the season on the weekend and has opposition captains wondering whether there is something funny going on with the pre-game flip.
After seven rounds, Ayres’ 6-1 record has had his opposition on the back-foot before the first ball is bowled.
But the Dandenong coach played down the importance of claiming the coin call.
“It comes in handy, that’s for sure, but as I’ve told the guys, it not the difference between winning or losing,” he said.
Ayres said consistently winning the toss had attracted a few giggles from the players.
“Everyone is starting to have a laugh about it. I’m getting a reputation,” he said.
