KEEN golfers and weekend hackers can pick up a club and take a swing for education next month.
The Caroline Chisholm Education Foundation Annual Charity Golf Day will be held at Southern Golf Club, Lower Dandenong Road, Keysborough, on Monday 18 February.
The day raises money for scholarships to help students in hardship achieve their vocational education dreams.
One of Australia’s most successful and popular professional golfers Bob Shearer, his wife Kathie and an Australian ladies’ professional golfer are helping to organise the event and will help and challenge players throughout the day.
Registration for the 18-hold Ambrose-style competition is from 10.30am for an 11.40am shotgun start.
Pre-dinner drinks and networking will be held from 5.30pm to 6pm and a dinner, auction and presentations from 6pm to 7.30pm.
The Caroline Chisholm Education Foundation is looking for players and sponsors for the event.
