Attacked and robbed

A MULGRAVE man was taken to Dandenong Hospital with minor injuries after he was assaulted and robbed in Noble Park on Tuesday afternoon.
The 39yearold man was walking along Lightwood Drive near the railway line when two men approached him and demanded he hand over his mobile phone.
When he refused one of the men, who was armed with a garden stake, started to attack him.
After the victim fell to the ground, one of the bandits took his mobile phone.
Just after the attack, a friend of the victim who had seen the incident approached the two bandits and told them to leave.
