Woman hit by truck, killed

A DANDENONG woman, 45, died after she was hit by a truck in Springvale last week.
Police said the woman was crossing Springvale Road just north of Sandown Road on Wednesday, 24 August about 5.20pm when she was hit by the truck.
The driver of the truck, which was travelling north on Springvale Road, was not injured.
There were no passengers in the truck and no other people were involved in the incident.
The identity of the woman is yet to be released.
Victoria’s road toll stands at 233, one fewer than at the same time last year.
